What are your strengths and weaknesses?
My strengths are writing, graphic design, and social media. These are areas that I am super confident in and have been praised for delivering such great content.
Fun Fact: I have been a writer since I was 11 years old writing stories, books, poetry, music, essays, and research papers. I advanced my writing to a professional level at age 18 and 19 when I stepped into the world of marketing.
My weakness at the moment is answering unknown numbers. This may sound implausible, but Scam Likely is calling more than ever. When unfamiliar numbers call, I tend to think it is a scam or a sales call. To combat this, I encourage everyone to send a text before calling to let me know who you are and and what you are seeking. If you are calling from an office phone and do not receive an answer, please leave a voicemail and I will get back to you within 24 hours or less.
Fun Fact: Til this day I receive phone calls and text messages from people posing to be someone else so that they can get my bank information. I am extra cautious and aware because some scammers are really good at what they shouldn't do.

Why are you interested in marketing?
My love for marketing really sparked when I joined The National Council of Negro Women Inc. (NCNW). With very little experience, I took a leap of faith and applied for the Marketing Director position because I was interested in the job duties and wanted to try something new. Once I was selected and began creating content for our social media pages and doing public relations, I fell in love with marketing and switched my major to Marketing (previously Entrepreneurship and Information Systems (ISM). I specifically loved how I was able to indirectly communicate to people and grab their attention with my graphic designs and copy alone. That made me confident in my work and even in myself. I continued onto The Paradigm Press where I created the position for a Marketing Director and did a great job putting our name out to the public, getting interviews on multiple local news channels, newspapers, and podcasts such as WPTV and Sun Sentinel. The Paradigm Press also made it to the FRONT COVER of a magazine! Such huge milestones in my career have motivated me to continue growing, learning, and applying my skills to a variety of companies both startup and well-established entities.
What motivates you?
My goals and childhood dreams of who I want to be are my biggest motivations. Money ties into this because it is an essential resource in getting me to where I want to be. As a child, I always imagined myself in my 20s living in a penthouse, condo or luxury apartment with a view of the city being a badass business woman. When I imagined myself in my home, I was alone with no one around me - not because I was going to be a person who didn't enjoy being around others or because I pushed everyone away. It was because I was focused and had a hustle in me that couldn't be moved by any distractions. One of my biggest life goals is to make my younger self proud. I want Little Ashley to see Big Ashley and say "You did it! You made our dreams come true."
